The Modern Data Company is hiring a determined, ambitious, and driven Enterprise Account Executive.

The EA is responsible for prospecting and developing enterprise client relationships to solve real data challenges using The Modern Data family of products. Specifically, the EA will actively prospect, assess opportunities, develop account plans, forecast, negotiate contracts, and close business in a timely manner. The EA is then responsible for ensuring the successful transition to the customer success team.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Represent Modern Data's full suite of products and services using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs, resulting in revenue generation
  • Opportunity Assessment: Personally oversee and be the primary point-of-contact for named accounts portfolio
  • Account Plan Development: Develop strategic sales plans for portfolio accounts with the largest sales opportunities
  • Forecasting: Accurately assess timelines to purchase
  • Negotiate Contracts: Ensure contracts are aligned with Modern Data's financial objectives while delivering value-added products, maintenance, and services to meet customer requirements
  • Post-sale Management: Maintain awareness and status of all key contractual obligations, facilitating customer meetings and communications regarding deliverables where necessary
  • Consistently demonstrate strong product knowledge and ability to articulate our value proposition
  • Deliver technology solutions tailored to customer needs
  • Execute account plans, ensuring the accurate production of the account plans, business case preparation, appropriate contract presentation, and the effective delivery of account plan activities
  • Meet and beat assigned quota

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience selling enterprise data solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or similar degree
  • 8+ years of enterprise software field sales experience
  • Ability to successfully complete solo sales meetings and presentations, with little or no supervision at the highest level of an organization
  • Understand the sales process, with acute listening and sales skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate issues and concerns to management and support
  • Willingness to travel, work odd hours, and be very available
  • Excellent business writing and presentation skills
  • An instinctive understanding of customer service and satisfaction, with the ability to manage both
  • Ability to travel throughout the region
  • Experience and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience in using software for sales such as Salesforce
