What would surprise people most about your job?

From the outside, my role appears to be focused on analytics, data products, and solving complex engineering challenges. While those are certainly important aspects of what I do, the real work often lies elsewhere. Success depends on helping organizations rethink how they work with data, building alignment across teams, identifying champions who can drive change, and creating momentum around new ways of thinking. Those are challenges that cannot be solved with technology alone.

What I enjoy most is that the role constantly demands both analytical and creative thinking. On any given day, I might be designing a data product strategy, working through an architectural challenge, facilitating conversations between stakeholders, writing about emerging ideas, or helping shape a broader transformation journey for a customer.

The variety is what keeps the work exciting. It is a role that continually pushes me to learn, create, communicate, and influence. The deeper I get into it, the more I realize that meaningful transformation is as much about people and mindset as it is about data and technology.
